    Chef Raul and Olga Reyes come from Alvarado, Veracruz, a town built on a mile-wide strip of land with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and a brackish lagoon on the other. With the bounty of the sea close at hand, fresh seafood is a way of life in Alvarado. But Veracruz is also home to wild boar and turkey, to vanilla orchids and cacao, to tropical fruits and a rainbow of chiles. For nearly five hundred years, the cuisine of Alvarado has evolved through the influence of indigenous, Spanish, French and African cultures in the port city. It is this food that Raul and Olga brought to Dallas with their former restaurant, La Palapa Veracruzana, which the Dallas Observer named the Best Mexican Restaurant in Dallas and that Pegasus News called “fresh, flavorful, unique…a destination for people who like to eat food and talk about it a lot afterwards.” Mesa offers the same authentic coastal cuisine Raul and Olga have been cooking and eating since their childhood!

Offering two dining spaces, both the main dining room and patio give ample amount of space for your family, friends, or party guests to take in all that Dallas’ favorite coastal cuisine has to offer.

    Catering and Events are opportunities for us to work more closely with our guests, occasions for us to share our dedication to celebration in exciting new ways.

    Our beautiful patio is well known for throwing big parties, events, and special gatherings. Call or make a reservation online. We can even sit down and talk with you about tailoring the menus to your event! Patio is available for regular sitting Friday-Saturday.

    Our dining room accommodates 30 people comfortably for the best dinner experience in high quality Mexican food.


     
    • New flare on traditional Mexican dishes. The food was well developed, vibrant to taste and pleasing to the eye. My plate looked more like art rather than a regular dish. Exceptional customer service and great ambiance.

    • Once inside the restaurant, I was truly surprised by its simple but tasteful decor and the terrific menu. I had the salmon and it was outstanding. I believe that it was truly the work of a chef. Service was very good. I would make trek back to Oak Cliff for a repeat experience.
